Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected today ahead of a cold front passage. There is a Marginal to Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon into early evening, with the main threats being damaging winds and hail of 1 inch or greater in diameter. The highest probability for severe storms will be from around the Capital District south and east.
The rest of the work week looks mostly sunny, with a chance of showers Thursday. Temperatures will drop into the high 60s on Tuesday and climb into the mid 70s by Friday.
By the end of the work week it'll be humid again and the air will feel oppressive. More sensitive groups will notice a difference in the air quality, which could make outdoor activities more difficult, especially during the hottest part of the day, said Courtney Spamer, AccuWeather meteorologist.
