Hi Tor's Pet of the Week: Ice
Each week we highlight another wonderful pet adoptable from Hi Tor Animal Care Center, Rockland County's only animal shelter.
Ice is a 3-year-old female pit bull terrier mix that was surrendered to the shelter because her owners could no longer care for her. She has a smile as big as her personality. This goofy girl is equally as likely to be stretched out in the cool grass asking for belly rubs as she’s cooling off in a kiddie pool on a hot summer day. Ice is friendly outgoing and loves people and will always try to give you hugs and kisses. She would do best in a home with an active family since she is a young and playful girl. What she’s really looking for is her pack leader, someone to provide her with both the direction and love to satisfy her eagerness to please. She knows her basic commands and is housebroken. While good natured and affectionate, she prefers to be the only dog in her new home.
For more information, contact Hi Tor Animal Care Center, 65 Fireman’s Memorial Drive, Pomona, NY (Phone: 845-354-7900, Email: info@hitor.org).
UPDATE -- Ice’s Christmas wish fulfilled: Adopted 12/10/15!! Now 2 weeks into her forever home & she’s living the good life --- an amazing family with 3 teens who keep her on her paws, & she gets to visit her former foster family regularly! Nothing but love for & from this amazing former Hi Tor resident!!!
