Hopper House Holds Vine-Cutting Ceremony
The Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center unveiled their newly remodeled garden with a "vine-cutting" ceremony.

NYACK, NY — The Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center unveiled its newly remodeled garden with a “vine-cutting" ceremony July 12. The local community joined Executive Director Jennifer Patton, local elected officials, Ellen Jaffee and David Carlucci, and board members to celebrate the completion of the project and kick-off the highly anticipated Jazz in the Garden series.

Designed by G. biloba Gardens and funded by the Community Benefits Program by the New NY Bridge Project, the beautiful outdoor space creates a community gathering location with accessibility for all. The new landscaping and garden allow for art installations to be one with the nature of Nyack, stone sitting walls and open grassy areas to fit all guests, as well as a stage with professional lighting to continue 38 years of Hopper House jazz entertainment traditions.
The event was also a moment to celebrate the beginning of the amazing opportunity to be able to welcome all members of the community, including those with physical disabilities, to the garden. The hope for the future of the Hopper House is to undertake more projects to make the whole property ADA compliant to be able to engage everyone in the arts.
