What mentor taught about success: My mentor taught me that there are always going to be people that want to see me fail but, I need to pick myself back up when I fall and show them how successful I can be. Also, he taught me when I succeed in whatever it is I am doing it’s important to stay humble and keep living my life the way I want to.

What mentor taught about dealing with failure: When you fail you are going to be upset and you are going to want to give up; but when you fail you need to use that failure as your motivation. Pick yourself up when yo u fail and don’t let anyone get to you, people are always waiting to see someone fail and it’s important to bounce back and not react to other people.

Best advice from mentor: I used to constantly get bullied and my mentor helped me gain the confidence I needed to make the bullying stop. When it finally stopped I spoke to him about how happy I was that no one was bothering me anymore and that’s when he gave me the best piece of advice he’s ever given me; bullies are bullies because they get a reaction, only when you start to really and truly believe that you don’t deserve to be treated poorly will the bullies stop. You shouldn’t be surprised that people are treating you well, you should expect people to alway be treating you with the respect you deserve.
