Hudson Valley Fireworks Guide: July 4-6 2019
There are plenty of concerts and fireworks still to come this Independence Day holiday.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY – There are lots of Fourth of July fireworks and festivities going on near you this 243rd birthday of the United States. Many have already taken place, but there are still lots left up and down the river.
To give yourself and the family a sense of what it's all about, head up to the Independence Day Commemoration at Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site July 4. You'll learn a lot at the Illustrated Lecture on the Development of the Declaration, which starts at 1 p.m. If you don't have tons of time, don't miss hearing the Declaration of Independence read out loud at 2:45 p.m. That's followed by the annual firing of cannon at 3 p.m. All programs are free.

- Rye Playland Special Event Fireworks Celebration at 9:30 p.m., 1 Playland Parkway, Rye
July 4
- Katonah: Pops, Patriots and Fireworks at Caramoor. 8 p.m. Thursday, July 4. Fireworks only rain date 9 p.m. Sunday, July 7. For more information, including ticket prices, go here.
- Kingston, T.R. Gallo Waterfront Park, 73 W. Strand St., 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Kingston fireworks will include food, music and activities, with fireworks at 9:30PM.
- Mamaroneck: Village of Mamaroneck Fireworks Display, Thursday, July 4 at 9 p.m. at Harbor Island Park, Boston Post Rd. & Mamaroneck Ave.
- New Rochelle: Cap off your holiday evening with a viewing of the grand fireworks display at the New Rochelle waterfront. Produced and sponsored by the famous Grucci family, the City of New Rochelle’s annual “Spark the Sound” extravaganza starts at 9:30 pm, rain or shine. Optimum viewing locations are Hudson Park, Five Islands Park and waterfront restaurants.
- Pearl River. Fireworks at Central Avenue Field around 9:30 p.m.
- Peekskill: Concert and Fireworks, Riverfront Green Park. Billy and the Showman starts at 7 p.m. and fireworks will start at about 9:15 p.m.
- Poughkeepsie fireworks on the Walkway Over the Hudson State Park. Begins between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The Walkway will be open to ticket holders. Tickets available online and at Adam’s in Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls. $10 for Walkway members, veterans and seniors; $12.50 for general admission. Children 10 and under free. Rain date July 5.
- Rockland Boulders. Fireworks right after the game. Palisades Credit Union Park, off Exit 12 on the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
- Tarrytown: Annual fireworks display will begin around 9 p.m. Pierson Park is a popular viewing area where live music will begin at 7 p.m.
- Yonkers: The fun will take place at the Yonkers Historic Pier at 71 Water Grant Street. Entertainment by a DJ begins at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks display along the Hudson at 9:15 p.m. presented by Pyro Engineering/Volt Live. The festivities are sponsored by the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency, the Yonkers Downtown Business Improvement District and MGM Resorts. Downtown restaurants including X20 Xaviars on the Hudson, Dolphin, Francey Brady’s, Zuppa Restaurant, Guapo Cocina Mexicana, Le Moulin Eatery and Wine Bar, La Bella Havana and Yonkers Brewing Company will offer a variety of foods.

- Nyack’s annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration will be held July 5 in Memorial Park at 9 p.m.
- Haverstraw's Fireworks Celebration: Bowline Point Park, Bowline Rd, Haverstraw, Friday, July 5 at 7 pm. Live music by Dr. K’s Motown Revue will kick off the celebration; fireworks at 9:30 pm. Rain date: July 6. The park will open to the public at 5 pm.
July 6
- West Point: Independence Day Celebration, at West Point’s Trophy Point Amphitheater, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 6 (rain date of July 7). Grab a blanket, bring a picnic, and enjoy a wide variety of music ranging from traditional field music to today’s popular hits, and everything in between. Guests are advised to arrive early, as this impressive celebration of music and fireworks is one of the best attended events of the year.
