Hudson Valley: Hazardous Outlooks Till 6PM
Winter storm advisories in effect at 10 a.m. warn that snow-covered roads and poor visibility are likely from late morning into the evening.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Hazardous weather outlooks went into effect at 10 a.m. in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and northern Westchester counties.
They are set to expire at 6 p.m., by which time this brief bout of snow is expected to exit the region.

In the mid-Hudson, snowfall rates could approach 1 to 1.5 inches an hour early Monday afternoon. Expect 2-5 inches there, the National Weather Service said.
In the lower Hudson Valley, 1-3 inches of snow may accumulate, the NWS predicted.

For southern Westchester, mixed rain and snow may start around lunchtime, then turn to plain rain into the afternoon and early evening.
