Last-Minute Back-to-School Shopping? Saturday is Family Fun Day at the Palisades

Palisades Center will host “Family Fun Day” on Saturday, August 29th, from 12PM-3PMin the East Court on Level 1.

This “last hurrah” before the start of the school year is a free, family-oriented event featuring live entertainment from Joe D’Urso (of the Rockland-Bergen Music Festival), prizes and giveaways from Palisades Center retailers, and more!

“We’re excited to partner once again with Joe D’Urso of the Rockland-Bergen Music Festival.” says Rachel Chester, Marketing Director for Palisades Center, “We are always open to showcasing local talent in the center.”

Guests to the event are invited to bring school supplies to donate to People to People’s “Back to School with Dignity” program. Those who bring school supplies to donate will be entered to win a prize from a Palisades Center retailer! Throughout the month of August, guests who purchase gift cards at the Guest Services Desk on Level 1 are able to make a monetary donation to People to People as well.

Back To School With Dignity is a vital People to People program, providing essential school supplies to Rockland students from low-income families. This makes it possible for these students to start the new school year on the road to success. Last year, Back To School With Dignity provided backpacks filled with school grade-appropriate school supplies to more than 2,000 children from Rockland’s struggling families.
