Man Charged In Fatal Nyack Shooting: Police
The man was charged with murder and robbery in connection to a shooting that killed a 30-year-old man.
NYACK, NY — Jason Max Jabouin, 33, of Haverstraw and Fayetteville, NC, was arrested in connection to Friday's shooting death of Ryan L. Franklin, 30, of West Haverstraw, in Nyack, the Rockland County District Attorney's Office said. Jabouin was charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery following his arrest early Saturday, officials said.
Franklin was shot on South Midland Avenue around 10:05 a.m., Orangetown Police Department Chief Donald Butterworth said. Officers found him "seriously injured" between Depew Avenue and Main Street, Lohud reported.
Jabouin's motive is being investigated, Butterworth said at a news conference.

Orangetown police on Friday reached out to Maryland State Police, as Jabouin was being held in Maryland after a traffic stop at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Lohud reported.
