Mid Hudson Outback Employees Among Those Affected By Pandemic

For employees who had their hours reduced, the company provided relief pay for six weeks and covered benefits.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Among the people affected when the economy shut down in New York due to the new coronavirus pandemic were 393 employees in the mid-Hudson locations of OS Restaurant Services, LLC.

"We sent WARN notices to employees and the required municipalities due to a reduction in hours resulting from the closure of our dining rooms. Some employees are working in our restaurants, which are still open for take away and delivery," said Elizabeth Watts, director of media and community relations at Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. "For employees who’ve had their hours reduced, we have provided relief pay for six weeks, and we assess our ability to continue to do so every two weeks. We are also covering 100 percent of the cost of benefits during this time. As dining rooms re-open, we are recalling them back to work."
