Noise Barrier Panels Keep Going Up in South Nyack

The sound barrier along the southbound side of the Thruway should be completed this spring.

Tappan Zee Constructors will continue to install concrete noise barrier panels along the southbound New York State Thruway in South Nyack this coming week.

TZC anticipates completing the structures this spring.

TZC will also begin installing noise barrier materials at the future site of the shared-use path on the northbound Thruway in South Nyack.

All noise barrier panels are treated with sound-absorbing material to further reduce traffic noise in the nearby community.
