Some restaurants with cafe permits already began outdoor service Tuesday, Cohen said. This Friday event will allow them to spread out and offer more.
"Coronavirus pandemic has taken a toll on our Village. It is with deep regret that we have watched businesses close their doors, some temporary, others permanent. While it will take years to fully recover, the Village is committed to doing our part for the business community - the heart of Nyack," village officials said on the website. "We are working with our business community and exploring options to support them as we enter Phase 2 of the reopening plan."
