How did you come up with the name?
We wanted to go back to basics. Fine materials, design and workmanship. To us nothing said it more simply than Metal and Stone fine jewelers. Also, just as what we do is not ordinary, we wanted our name to reflect that.

Briefly, what business are you in?
We are a fine jewelry shop in the center of the Village of Nyack on the Hudson. Customizing jewelry for our clientele is our mainstay. We are a full service jewelry and watch establishment.
What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
Living up to our own standards to get the desired result and growing our market.
What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?
Being a part of our customers “lifecycle” events, whether engagement, wedding, anniversary, births, and birthdays. Our proudest achievement is when a client tells a friend about their wonderful experience here, and they come in and buy something based on that referral.
How does your business give back or get involved in the community?
We constantly contribute to almost all local organizations and charities whether we donate money, or give pieces of jewelry to be raffled off. We are very much involved in the promotion of other businesses in our village and all the great events that our Village offers on a daily basis. We sponsor events and donate our time and we’re very happy to do it!
