Nyack Students Return To Classrooms Fulltime On Monday

To help maintain social distancing, the elementary schools will stagger arrival and departure times.

NYACK, NY — Students in the Nyack schools will return to classrooms full-time on Monday.

"While we are confident in the safe return to a five-day, in-person learning option for students within the new guidelines, we will continue to adapt our plans and protocols as new information emerges," Superintendent James J. Montesano wrote in a letter to parents.

The district will provide remote instruction for families who opted not to return full time.

Several changes to the routine are due to pandemic protocols.

For example, parents must fill out a Daily Health Screening Questionnaire for each child before entering their school building each day.
