
The Rockland County Office of Fire and Emergency Services posted an advisory warning of heavy rain and possible flooding late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon due to the storm moving into the northeast.Â
Two to four inches of rain, as much as a half inch per hour, could cause flooding in Rockland County. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch effective midnight tonight through Wednesday afternoon.
Late Tuesday morning, Orange & Rockland Utilities declared a company-wide storm watch due to the forecast of rain and high winds that could last through Thursday.O&R Emergency Response Operations coordinators met Tuesday in preparation for possible damage to power lines and outages.Â
