The Orangetown Highway Department set up alternate days for recycling pickup in place of Christmas and New Year's Day.
The regular pick-up that would have fallen on Wednesday Dec. 25 has been rescheduled for Saturday Dec. 28. The regular pick-up set for Wednesday Jan. 1, 2014 will now be Saturday, Jan. 4.
The highway department also reminds residents to place recycle bins curbside the evening prior to the pick-up date and to keep paper products and containers in separate recycling bins. With any questions, call the highway department at (845) 359-6500.
