Palisades Fair Returns To Palisades Center
Attendants will be able to enjoy the many attractions including Close Encounters which includes lions and tigers.
From Palisades Fair: The Palisades Fair returned to the Palisades Center, located at 1000 Palisades Center Drive in West Nyack, N.Y., and will be open for two more weekends through July 9as well as on July 3 and 4 for the holiday.
“We’re excited to be back in West Nyack and provide the best in family entertainment for this community,” said Jeff Bolonski, fair entertainment coordinator. “We have brought back the Banana Derby,’ award-winning illusionist Lance Gifford, a Las Vegas hypnotist show, a huge carnival midway and more in addition to our newest shows – Close Encounters with the Exotic Kind and Cowtown USA.”
Close Encounters of the Exotic Kind is one of the Fair’s newest attractions providing fairgoers aonce-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see lions and tigers perform together live. With nearly 40 years of experience, world-renowned showman and exotic animal trainer Vincent Von Duke will perform at 7 and 9 p.m. on Fridays and at 2, 5, and 9 p.m. on the weekends.

The Palisades Fair has also debuted Cowtown exhibit, a decked-out frontier show from South Carolina built out of an 18-wheeler teaching fairgoers how to milk a cow, churn butter, grind corn and other farming activities. The interactive program is available at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Fridays and 2:30,5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on the weekends.
Returning to West Nyack is crowd favorite the Banana Derby, a race where monkeys dressed in jockey outfits race trained dogs around a track. Fairgoers may even meet the monkeys up close and personal after the races, which are held at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and 1:30, 4 and 7 p.m. on the weekends.

Award-wining illusionist Lance Gifford will also return to Palisades and continue to amaze all with his fast-paced and highly entertaining magical illusion show, performing some of the world’s most amazing illusions throughout the U.S. and Canada. Some of the “family members” in his troupe include doves, rabbits, standard poodles, a Macaw parrot and a Boston terrier. Gifford will perform live at the Fair at 6 and 8 p.m. on Fridays and at 3, 6 and 8 p.m. on the weekends.
On Friday and Saturday nights and on July 3 at 9:30, the Las Vegas hypnotist show will make believers of the audience, as the hypnotist persuades a man to dance like Beyoncé and other audience members to perform hilarious scenarios while under hypnosis.
The Palisades Fair will also feature Barnyard Petting Coral where attendees may pet and feed dozens of farm animals. This attraction is open during all fair hours.

No fair would be complete without delicious fair food. The Palisades Fair has all fair favorites like funnel cakes, zeppoles, Italian sausage and peppers, chicken on a stick, candy apples, popcorn, pizza, BBQ and more.
Strates Shows will be providing a spectacular array of amusement rides ranging from high-speed riders for thrill seekers to exciting rides for the little ones. More than 40 rides, games and attractions will be onsite including the Giant Wheel, Rock Star and Himalaya.
Admission to the fair is as low as $3.50 per person with two-for-one admission discounts available online at www.PalisadesFair.com. Pay-One-Price unlimited rides wristbands are also available at an advance discounted price of $20 each on the website. Family Four Packs, which include four admission tickets and four Pay-One-Price unlimited rides wristbands are also available on the website at an advance reduced price. Individual ride tickets and Pay-One-Price wristbands may also be purchased at the event.All live entertainment and shows are free with fair admission.
