HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Stormy weather continues through the region as communities shake off Thursday's severe thunderstorms and prep for another round to kick off the weekend.

"The remnants of Hurricane Laura are being pulled into a frontal trough that will stretch up through the Great Lakes by Friday night and Saturday," said the forecasters at Hudson Valley Weather. "That will lead to a very unsettled late night Friday night, into Saturday."

Even in its weakened state, the storm will still be strong enough to bring disruptive impacts over the weekend, said AccuWeather meteorologists.
