'Retailtainment' Coming To Palisades Center

WEST NYACK, NY — Two new businesses will open in the Palisades Center this spring — a clothing retailer that specializes in lingerie and a retail/education complex focused on activities in technical science, sports and the hobby world.

Arena STEM bills itself as a center offering "retailtainment" — a combination of entertainment, education and retail. This will be its flagship store, said founders Sergei and Julia Manevich of New Jersey.

Arena STEM's concept is focused on the worldwide interest in science, technology, engineering and math. It will offer people of all ages the ability to interact with the products being sold through real-life models, tracks, events, contests, and classes. Think 3-D drawing, robotics, modelmaking, drones and more.

"STEM activities have become an integral component of education in the United States and throughout the world," the founders said. "Arena STEM is a fun environment that utilizes STEM principles and fosters self-expression, critical thinking and innovation. We would be remiss if we didn’t thank our co-founder Lenny Lozinsky, and Starta Ventures’ partners, Serge Milman and Alexey Girin. They believed in our project and supported us with advice and investment."

Aerie will open a 4,000-square-foot store at the Palisades. Aerie specializes in intimates, activewear, sleepwear and swimwear, and markets itself as a lifestyle brand. It is owned by American Eagle Outfitters.

"Aerie has a clear understanding of Palisades Center’s customers and how to connect with them," said Darrin Houseman, General Manager of Palisades Center. "We are confident our guests will love the brand and their powerful message."

Arena STEM will be located on Level 3 near the Food Court. Aerie will be located on Level 1 near Old Navy.
