Rockland Boulders Celebrate League Championship
The Boulders defeated the New Jersey Jackals last night.

The four-year-old Rockland Boulders won the Can-Am Championship with superb pitching and hitting.
Starter Bo Budkevics “was brilliant over seven scoreless innings,” according to the writers on the league website.
The Boulders were behind two games to none at the beginning of the series. In a wild game described by Bill Demarest of the Nyack Free Press, they tied it up at two games apiece—then went on to win the next two.

Jamie Keefe was named Manager of the Year. Boulders outfielder Antone DeJesus was named the Can-Am defensive player of the year last week.
The Can-Am League’s history parallels that of minor-league baseball, with several incarnations between 1936 and 2005 when it restarted. This season its five current teams also played interleague games with the American Association, the premiere independent baseball association in North America.
