Rockland Students, Chefs Compete in 2nd Annual Chili Fest
You're invited to taste entries from student chefs in BOCES' Culinary Arts program and three local culinary masters.

WEST NYACK, NY — Taste-testing chili is a great occupation for a winter evening. Whether your preference is for traditional red chili, chili verde, homestyle chili or veggie chili, you have a chance to savor some delectable dishes at the second annual Chili Fest scheduled for Jan. 14 at the Jesse J. Kaplan School in West Nyack.
Rockland BOCES Culinary Arts students will demonstrate their southwestern gourmet skills. They'll be competing with each other and local culinary masters from Craft Taqueria in New City, Nanuet Restaurant and NoCo Catering and Events from Tappan.
Founded by Career and Technical Education Center Culinary Arts Instructor Kendell Brenner, “Chili Fest” brings the community together for healthy competition to decide the best scratch-made recipes. Culinary Arts student chefs compete among several chili varieties. Attendees will be able to cast a vote for their favorite dishes – and, line up for seconds!
