STAC Marketing Student Receives HVDMA Scholarship Award

Congratulations to STAC Marketing sophomore, Paolo Bruzzesi for being the 2020 recipient for the HVDMA (Hudson Valley Direct Marketing Association) Laura L. Smith Scholarship award! HVDMA awards this Scholarship to the applicant who shows the greatest interest and promise for leadership in direct, integrated, or one-to-one marketing.

Paolo attributes this wonderful scholarship to Dr. Deirdre Engels, Professor of Marketing: “Dr. Engels has had the most dominant influence on me. She introduced me to this opportunity and wrote me the best recommendation letter that enabled me to win the scholarship. If it wasn’t for her input and support, I wouldn’t have been as motivated as I am now,” states Paolo.

Paolo embodies the characteristics of what it means to be a Spartan. Already in his sophomore year, Paolo has impressive accomplishments under his belt. He is the President of STAC's American Marketing Association, a member of the Business Club, and is in the Aquinas Leaders program. Paolo aspires to pursue a career in the publishing field, and is leveraging the knowledge he has gained from his classes, and his passion for Catholicism and Christianity, to make a positive impact on other people’s lives.
