Sterling’s donation will go a long way to helping achieve Habitat of Rockland’s goal at this years’ fundraising event, a virtual concert called Raise the Roof, which takes place on May 26th. This is Habitat of Rockland’s first annual fundraising event and it will feature honoree Frances Pratt, who served as president of the Nyack NAACP for 40-years and was the first African American nurse to head the Nyack Hospital ER. There will also be concert performances by select Rockland County Bands, including Tom Chapin. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards advancing Habitat of Rockland’s mission.
