Thruway Sign Work To Cause Traffic Delays In Interchange 10

Plan for sporadic traffic stops and pay attention to flaggers.

SOUTH NYACK, NY — Construction crews are scheduled to install a new overhead sign gantry within Interchange 10 in South Nyack. Weather permitting, the work will begin Wednesday and end Friday.

It will result in traffic delays in the immediate area between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Expect traffic approaching the New York State Thruway on-ramps to be reduced to a single lane controlled by flag persons, along with periodic, 15-minute traffic stops. Multiple stops will be required to safely install the new gantry over the roadway and remove an existing gantry.
