“We are delighted to welcome Dana to her new position at the United Way. Dana has worked in the Rockland County nonprofit sector for the past twenty four years. She served as Regional Director of Catholic Charities of Rockland for seven years, and Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for four years. For the past six years, she has worked for the United Way of Rockland as the Community Impact Director, coordinating the Community Impact Program, Rockland County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (RCVOAD), Federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), Creating Assets Savings and Hope (CA$H) Program and the Healthy Haverstraw Committee. Dana began on July 1, as former President and CEO, Mimi Vilord retired on June 30. “I am both honored and grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working with the Board of Directors, staff, businesses, nonprofits, and community to bring people together and change lives,” Dana stated. “There is one main thing that I strive to do and that is making a difference in the lives of those I touch, the community and the world, and I can’t think of a better place to do this work than at the United Way of Rockland”.
