Viola Davis: Worked at Nyack Hospital

Viola Davis, born in Stony Point, New York May 1921, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on the afternoon of November 28th, 2014.

She leaves behind a daughter Dwanda Woods, a son-in law Robert Jefferson Woods , both of New Hempstead, New York, two grandchildren, Lyndsey Diana Woods, of Fort Lee, New Jersey and Robert Thomas Woods of New Hempstead, New York and son Derek Davis of Milton Massachusetts. She is predeceased by her husband, David Davis, Jr. of over 60 years in 2003 and two children David Davis III, age 39 in 1992, and Diana Davis, age 34, in 1979.

She also leaves behind a sister-in-law Elizabeth Davis of Nyack, New York and many loving friends from Nyack, wonderful neighbors and loving relatives.

Mrs. Davis was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and enjoyed over ten years of service at Nyack Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide.

Arrangements were handled by Hannemann Funeral Home in Nyack.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Rockland Community College, Nursing Degree Program.
