Volunteers Deliver Care Packages To Montefiore Nyack Hospital

ASEZ WAO volunteers and County Executive Ed Day delivered more than 70 care packages to front line workers.

Volunteers from ASEZ WAO (Save the Earth from A to Z – We Are One Family) a young adult volunteer group from the World Mission Society Church of God, were accompanied by County Executive Ed Day to deliver over 70 care packages to frontline healthcare workers at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. Volunteers prepared care packages filled with hot cocoa, snacks, and handwritten cards. The effort is a part of ASEZ WAO’s Heart to Heart campaign taking place around the world to show support and appreciation to essential workers during the pandemic.

"We are very thankful to ASEZ WAO for their generosity. The care packages for our team will bring smiles, knowing that the gifts are in recognition of their dedication to the health and well-being of our community," Dr. Mark Geller, Montefiore Nyack Hospital, CEO said.

Through this Covid-19 pandemic, essential workers have given their all to ensure public health. They have worked tirelessly, patiently, consistently, sacrificing themselves for the lives of others. ASEZ WAO Volunteers were grateful for this opportunity to serve and encourage the hospital staff with the same love they give to all patients in the community. Through the Heart to Heart Campaign, ASEZ WAO volunteers around the United States have visited medical facilities and police stations in areas such as Buffalo, Boston, Salt Lake City and Chicago to show appreciation for essential workers and lift their spirits. This powerful initiative is even being carried out by ASEZ WAO volunteers across the globe in countries like Korea, India, Philippines, United Kingdom, Argentina, and Mexico with incredible results.
