WATCH: Nyack School District Counts Votes
The new coronavirus pandemic forced this year's absentee-ballot-only vote.

NYACK, NY — The Nyack school district's Budget Vote and School Board Election will be tallied beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The canvassing process will be broadcast live via Zoom. The vote counting will stop at 10 p.m. and reconvene at or around 8 a.m. on Wednesday and will proceed until the anticipated results are finalized and announced as the unofficial tally. The Board of Education will then officially adopt the results on Thursday.

There are five candidates running for three seats on the Board of Education: School trustees serve three year terms and are unpaid.

School budget
- Proposed for 2020-21: $90,684,000
- Increase over current spending: 5.46 percent
- Tax levy increase: 1.91 percent
