West Nyack Man Faces DWI Charge After Thruway Stop

The arrest was made at 11:15 p.m. Monday.

SOUTH NYACK, NY — New York state police stopped a vehicle on I-87 in the village of South Nyack on 11:15 p.m. May 18, for several vehicle and traffic violations.

The driver, Patrick A. Pierson, 51, of West Nyack was found to be intoxicated. Pierson was taken into custody, transported and processed at the state police barracks in New Rochelle, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27 percent.

Pierson was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor, and several vehicle and traffic violations. He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Village of South Nyack Court on July 7.
