Work Will Reduce Rte 9W to One Lane till March

It's about bridge replacement in Congers

CLARKSTOWN, NY — Beginning Dec. 8, Route 9W will be reduced to a single lane between Tuxedo Lane and Dr. Davies Road, with alternating traffic controlled by temporary signals, while crews perform bridge replacement activities.

The lane reduction is expected to last until March 31, 2017.

Motorists should expect delays.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
