1,363 Customers Still Out of Power: Con Ed
Utility crews worked through the night to deal with Monday's devastating, damaging winds.

With 1,363 customers still without power across its tri-state region as of 8:51 a.m. Tuesday morning, Con Ed is focused on the last vestiges of destruction from Monday's devastating winds.
More than 100 outages are still scattered across Westchester County, affecting hundreds of residents. The largest clusters are in Harrison, Cortlandt, Eastchester, New Rochelle and the Rivertowns. Estimated times of restoration range from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning.

Crews and contractors began making repairs and restoring service at dawn Monday as increasingly severe winds damaged the overhead electric system.

The winds raked the whole region — in Orange & Rockland Utilities' area, about 19,000 customers experienced outages at one time or another Monday and 278 were still out Tuesday morning.
