Grand Tasting Village – 12 noon – 4 p.m., Kensico Dam Plaza, 1 Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla – (914) 231-4033. Tastings from 50+ local restaurants and more than 200 wines and spirits. Limited discount tickets $70 each, $15 off regular price, at thewpf.org. For ages 21 and up only.
“Secrets of Westchester County Parks” – 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., Lenoir Preserve, 19 Dudley Street, Yonkers – (914) 968-5851. A presentation featuring stories about the Westchester County Parks system that very few people know.
Turtle Day – 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., Trailside Nature Museum at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Routes 35 and 121 South, Cross River -- (914) 864-7322. Experience life as a herpetologist as you learn how to identify different types of turtles, where turtles like to live and how you can help record data as a citizen scientist.
Wildflower and Plant Walk – 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., Edith G. Read Wildlife Sanctuary, Playland Park, Rye – (914) 967-8720. Learn to identify wildflowers, invasives and other plants at the sanctuary and visit the new pollinator garden in bloom.
Volunteer Work Project: Trimming Overgrowth at the Visitors Center – 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., Marshlands Conservancy, Boston Post Road, Rye – (914) 835-4466. Great for service credit hours. Bring work gloves. All hand tools will be provided.

Bicycle Sundays – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Bronx River Parkway, White Plains to Yonkers – (914) 995-4050. Bike, jog, ride, walk or skate the parkway from the Westchester County Center in White Plains to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. Also 6/16, 23 and 30.
Tour of the Main House – 2 p.m. – 3 p.m., Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial, Route 35, Somers – (914) 864-7268. Learn the history of the park and the Lasdon family who previously owned the estate. Meet at the Shop at Lasdon.
Summer Seining by the Sound – 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Marshlands Conservancy, Boston Post Road, Rye – (914) 835-4466. Catch, study and release a variety of marine life in Rye’s Milton Harbor. Wear clothes that can get wet.
