CROTON-ON-HUDSON — The country’s oldest and largest music and environmental festival returns to Croton Point this weekend. It's a special year, as the Clearwater Festival celebrates both founder Pete Seeger’s 100th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the Sloop Clearwater.

The sloop, based in Beacon, has become a symbol of environmental advocacy and of Seeger’s efforts to inspire, educate, and activate millions of people around environmental issues.

The festival, also known as the Great Hudson River Revival, attracts thousands either for the weekend or the day. Performers this year include Mavis Staples, Ani DiFranco, The Wailers, Railroad Earth, The Lone Bellow, The Mammals, Immortal Technique, and many more.
