UPDATE: Expect Local Outages After Crash Closes Emwilton Place

UPDATE 1:12 p.m. — Con Ed is working to repair a police on Emwilton Place that was affected by this morning's accident.

Ossining police advise that some temporary outages may be experienced in the area.

School Superintendent Ray Sanchez sent a message to parents:

"We are writing to inform you that a bus accident with our OHS students just occurred near Emwilton Place. Our OHS students are safely back at OHS at this time and are being assessed by staff members. Due to the accident Emwilton will be closed between North Highland and Wolden. Wolden will be the designated pick up area for OHS. We will provide additional information as needed. Thank you."

OSSINING, NY — Emwilton Place is closed due to a school bus accident with wires down, Ossining police reported at 11:51 a.m.

The driver and a dozen students suffered minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals to be checked out.

School dismissal will be shifted to Wolden Road at the normal time.
