  • Enjoy fireworks choreographed to patriotic music every Friday through August 31. Playland Park is open Friday – Saturday, Noon – 11 p.m.,Sunday, Noon – 10 p.m.

SATURDAY – SUNDAY, AUGUST 19 - 20

  • Art Exhibit – Noon – 4 p.m.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 19

  • Muscoot Farmers Market – 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Shop the many local vendors who offer produce and food products every Sunday through October.

Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial, Route 35, Somers – (914) 864-7268

  • Conservatory Tour – 2 p.m. – 3p.m.
  • Tour the Tropical Rainforest exhibit led by Lasdon’s horticulturist. Conservatory weekend admission is $7 adults, $3 children 12 and under; tour is free. Purchase tickets in the Gift Shop.

  • Jewish Heritage Festival – Noon – 6 p.m.
  • Music and entertainment, crafts and food vendors. Parking and admission are free.

MONDAY, AUGUST 20

  • Fourth Monday Bird Walk – 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
  • Bring binoculars and join Saw Mill River Audubon experts to observe the birds of the season. Meet in main parking lot.
