First 2020 Arrest Is a Felony DWI Charge: Ossining Police

Police said the man crashed in Ossining on New Year's Day.

OSSINING, NY — The first person arrested in 2020 in Ossining was a Putnam County resident who the courts have said has a drinking and driving problem.

The man arrested after he crashed at 3:46 a.m. Jan. 1 had a prior conviction for DWI, Ossining police said. Edgar F. Suconota-Ramon, 33, did not have an interlock device on his steering wheel as required after his conviction. The Garrison resident was also driving without a license, police said.

His blood alcohol count was .18 percent, more than twice the legal limit for drivers.
