HUDSON VALLEY, NY — More snow is expected, and then a dramatic drop in temperatures to freeze all the slush.

First, the National Weather Service wants you to know that scattered snow showers will continue Wednesday morning, remnant of the nor'easter that dumped up to 2 feet of snow in the Hudson Valley.

These snow showers may produce an additional coating of snow. Temperatures also remain at or below freezing across much of the area. Any untreated surfaces may be icy and slippery. Proceed with extra caution if traveling, the NWS said.

Second, there's more snow coming.

There's some hype about a big storm on Sunday, but the folks at Hudson Valley Weather are skeptical.

"Computer models may look significantly different in a few days, than what we see now," they said. "We’ll be monitoring the trend here, to see if a big storm for Sunday/Monday remains likely."

What forecasters do agree on is that next week will bring a dramatic drop in temperatures as frigid air flows down from Canada.

"Because of this it is essential for crews and property owners to remove as much snow from streets, parking lots and sidewalks as there is the risk of the remaining packed down snow to become very difficult to remove once the Arctic air moves in," said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist.
