Former Ossining Superintendent of Highways Endorses Judge Tawil
. I and many others have nothing but respect and admiration for Michael's conduct on the bench - Michael G. O'Connor
Dear Fellow Democratic Voter.
This election year is unlike any we have witnessed in our collective lifetimes. Normally, candidates do their best to connect with the public in person so that they can engage in a richer dialogue about who they are and what they stand for. This year, because of social distancing, such things are not possible, and candidates may have to rely on others to help them connect. Therefore, I am reaching out to encourage you to vote for Justice Michael L. Tawil, who is running in a Primary Election contest for Ossining Town Justice this coming June 23rd.
I have been a proud resident of the Town of Ossining for the last 48 years. I am also proud of my involvement in our Local Democratic Town Committee, and my service as an elected District Leader for over 35 years, Town Councilman for 16 years, and Superintendent of Highways for 13 plus years.

I worked with Michael within our Town Committee and on various political campaigns before his first election as a Town Justice. For several years, Michael and I served together on the Ossining Town Council. During this time, I came to know Michael as a very intelligent, caring, progressive person. Michael continues to honorably serve our community well as a Justice of the Town Court. I and many others have nothing but respect and admiration for Michael’s conduct on the bench. We absolutely support his re-election, and hope you will do the same.
This year will be the first time we will be voting in a Primary Election for President, Congress, State Senate, and Town Justice, all on the same ballot.

This election year won’t just be difficult for the candidates trying to connect with the public. As I compose this letter, it seems likely that most of us will be voting by absentee ballot. Regardless of how the process is handled, please take the time to vote and make your voice heard. I hope you will consider my endorsement and that, during the Democratic Primary, you cast your vote for the Honorable Justice Michael L. Tawil, so that Michael can continue working for all of us.
Your Fellow Democrat,
Michael G. O'Connor
