"If you don’t have the silver for the “Hamilton” show on Broadway, why not take in the ”Happy Birthday New York Show ?”It’s free. John Jay, Alexander Hamilton’s contemporary is the ghost on the stage. He was a Westchester County resident, Revolutionary War spy master, diplomat and author of the New York State Constitution and for obvious reasons, won’t be there." -Miguel Hernandez
Attendees can expect to hear music that Hamilton would have heard when his document was signed 240 years ago on April 22, 1777. The event will feature a live performance by the Mattatuck Drum Band, of Connecticut dressed in their Revolutionary War-era uniforms and banged out on their antique instruments.

Attendees will then be invited to join in a ceremonial toast to New York which will done in various spoken languages of colonial New York. The program concludes with a stirring rendition of the “1812 Overture” and the simultaneous ringing of Ossining’s historic church bells.
Miguel Hernandez, an independent Ossining historian and the producer of this event said, “History is not a subject that just resides in musty books and campus classrooms. It was created and still lives on the streets of our cities towns and villages. So, come out into this street party, enjoy historical music and learn the little-known history of the birth of New York State and of John Jay the man who, as crazy as it sounds, was its midwife”
