Happy Mother’s Day From Matthew Weireter

"She is the definition of selfless and loving, and I wish everyone had a mom like mine."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Matthew Weireter's letter to his mom:

My mom is always there for me. No matter the time or day she is always one phone call away. Mother’s Day is a day of appreciation for the woman who took me in and raised me to become the best man I can be. She taught me everything I need to be successful and is a shining example of her own success.

She created her own business from the ground up, runs a family of five with two dogs and has a beautiful garden in the yard. I appreciate and love her more than words can describe, and even though we can’t spend this Mother’s Day together, I want her to know that I am grateful for everything she has done.

She is the definition of selfless and loving, and I wish everyone had a mom like mine. She lost her mother a few years back and it has been tough, but she is the matriarch now and should be treated as such.

Mom, I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day, and just know that your son loves you and could not be more thankful to have such an amazing mom.
