Lacrosse Player from Croton Recognized in Little East Conference Awards
Jesse Schulze dominated LEC opponents.

A Croton-on-Hudson native is among 12 Eastern Connecticut State University students in three spring sports to be recognized in the Little East Conference season-ending awards program, released Wednesday. The LEC’s head coaches nominate and vote for the award-winners.
In men’s lacrosse, senior faceoff specialist Jesse Schulze (Croton-on- Hudson, NY) was voted to the first team.
After losing its top four scorers and starting goalie and five of six All-LEC selections from 2016, the men’s lacrosse team (8-10, 4-3 LEC) sustained its first losing season in the program’s 22-year history and it’s least number of wins in 17 seasons of Little East competition. Eastern failed to reach the championship game of the LEC playoffs for the second time in program history, losing in the semifinals after a three-goal win in the first round.
