Lighting Strikes Tree, Ignites Propane In Basement
It happened during a severe thunderstorm Tuesday.

MILLWOOD, NY — A lighting strike near a Millwood home caused a small propane fire in the basement during Tuesday's thunderstorm.
Lightning struck a tree and apparently found its path of least resistance was a metal propane line. It caused the line to bleed off and ignite in the basement, Millwood fire officials said.
Millwood Fire Co. No. 1 responded to Pinesbridge Road with the Ossining Fire Department FASTeam and Briarcliff Manor Fire Department Engine 94 at 3:15 p.m.
