Massive Retaining Wall Collapses In Downtown Ossining

Main Street is closed. Give yourself more time getting to the train station Tuesday morning.

UPDATE, Tuesday — Police are directing commuters around the collapse.

OSSINING, NY — A massive retaining wall just west of the intersection of Secor Road and Hunter Street collapsed in the rain Monday afternoon. It's below the former Elks Club — where the new 55-unit apartment building has been going up.

The retaining wall when only the foundation of the new development was in place.

There were questions on social media Monday about whether the whole development had been physically compromised by the landslide.
