Mike Risko Music Named A Top 100 Music Store Worldwide

OSSINING, NY — For the sixth year, Mike Risko Music has been named a Top 100 Dealer by the National Association of Music Merchants, the global association of music products and music retailers. It's the only music school and store in Westchester to win the award.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for this very special award and want to thank NAMM for recognizing our efforts over the past year," Mike Risko said in a press release. "In the 24 years since we first opened our doors, it’s always been our policy to create partnerships within the community where we can bring music to those who live all around us. It’s our great privilege to be able to provide an environment where residents can come, learn about music, learn how to play music, take part in musical theatre and adopt a greater appreciation for music in all its forms."

The award will be presented at the industry’s annual mid-year gathering, Summer NAMM, July 19 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mike Risko Music opened 25 years ago on Croton Avenue. Ten years ago, Mike and Miriam Risko bought the Ossining Music store up the street from the original studio.

Now the business has two components: a school that provides a space where musicians of all ages
and levels can connect, learn, and grow, and a store that features instruments selected by
expert musicians who also use them on stage and when teaching lessons.
