Monday is Jamie Loeb Day in Ossining
The 2015 NCAA Women's Singles Tennis Champ will also give a master class to kids from the Ossining Day Camp at Nelson Park.

Ossining’s own Jamie Loeb returns to her hometown Monday for a celebration at Nelson Park.
It includes a special proclamation from Village officials declaring August 3 as Jamie Loeb Day in celebration of her win at the 2015 NCAA Women’s Singles Tennis National Championship.
Afterwards, Loeb will offer a brief instructional session for children from the Ossining Day Camp tennis program.

Loeb recently ended her sophomore season at the University of North Carolina by winning the 2015 NCAA Women’s Singles Tennis National Championship, becoming the first singles national champion in UNC’s long history.

Earlier in 2015, Loeb was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and is one of only seven multiple-time winners in the history of the conference.
She claimed the ITF’s Hunt 2015 $25,000 Women’s Tennis Classic (singles) and $50,000 Pro Circuit Tournament (doubles) just weeks ago and has earned entry into the main draw of the U.S. Open, which begins Aug. 31.
