More Snow Coming To The Hudson Valley
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service warns about flooding. Here's the latest.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — While issuing a hazardous outlook for the next winter storm, which is expected Thursday, the National Weather Service warned that heavy rain and snow melt are causing minor flooding in some parts of the region and that icy conditions in the mid-Hudson could affect travel on Tuesday.
A flood advisory is in effect Tuesday morning for Rockland, Westchester and eastern Putnam counties. Plus, the NWS said icy conditions could affect travel until this afternoon in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster counties.
More than 5,000 customers lost electricity overnight during the freezing rain; utility companies worked rapidly to restore power across the region.

"The exact track the storm will take ... will determine exactly where the heaviest snow will accumulate and how widespread ice may be along the East coast," said Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist. "Snow will fall along the northwestern side of the storm, ice will occur near the system's path and rain will fall to the southeast."
