Blacksmithing Workshop: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Muscoot Farm, Route 100, Somers: (914) 864-7282. Register for this unique full-day workshop with master blacksmith Bill Fitzgerald to make your own items in the farm’s blacksmith shop. Ages 18 and up. Registration and a fee required. Feeder Watch: 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Trailside Nature Museum at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Cross River: (914) 864-7322. Birdfeeders are up! Come watch the feeders with us, get a closer look at our feathered friends and make your own feeder to take home.

ID and count birds at Nature Center feeders with volunteers from Saw Mill River Audubon. Great opportunity for photography, indoor activity, all ages, all skill levels. Also, 11/24 and 30.
SUNDAY, NOV. 17
Conservatory Tour: 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial, Route 35, Somers: (914) 864-7268. Join Lasdon’s horticulturist for a tour featuring the Tropical Rainforest Exhibit. Learn about rainforests and colorful tropical plants. Tickets can be purchased at the Shop. Fee: $7 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
Nature in Winter: 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Marshlands Conservancy, Route 1, Rye: (914) 835-4466. See the world of Marshlands on the cusp of winter and discover a wide variety of changes in the various habitats.
