
Edwin W. Bright, who grew up in Ossining and New York City, passed away on June 14 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow.
Bright, who died on Flag Day and served in WWII, was an avid historian and like to tells stories about life in Ossining from the 1870s to the present.
Throughout his life he served Trinity Church, Scarborough Engine Company and the Briarcliff Fireman’s Benevolent Association.

He is predeceased by his wife Mary Elizabeth. He donated the OB/GYN exam room at Phelps Memorial hospital in her memory with a plaque reading “For My Bride.”
