Obituary: Helen M. Peterson, Lifelong Ossining Resident

Helen M. Peterson, a lifelong resident of Ossining, NY, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. Helen was born in Ossining on March 13, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Mary Elizabeth (Stanford) Garrett. She was 89.

Mrs. Peterson is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey (Lynn) and Michael; 5 grandchildren Lauren, Shannon, Carly, Charles and Lucas; 2 great-grandchildren Lorelei and Allie Rose; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Roger Sr. and her son Roger Jr.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 4-8pm at Dorsey Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 10am at St. Augustine’s Church. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
