Obituary: James John Ring Of Crotonville

James John Ring, 82, a longtime resident of Crotonville, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021. James was born in Mount Vernon, NY on January 21, 1939 and was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Fowler) Ring.

Jimmy was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy 1956-1959 where he was a Radioman, and served on four different vessels including “THE SULLIVANS”. Jimmy used to love writing to various newspapers and had over 750 letters to the editor published. He was a retired Corrections Officer with the Westchester County Penitentiary. He was a parishioner of St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining.

Mr. Ring is survived by his loving wife Therese: his four children Thomas (Mary), John, Bridget (Edward) Rodriguez, and Timothy; his two grandchildren Jacob and Alisha; three great-grandchildren Vanessa, Sophie and Calam. James was predeceased by his brother George (Kim) Ring and his sister Sally (Pete) Augustine.

The Funeral Mass is being celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am at St. Augustine’s Church. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
