Obituary: Jill Veronica Cesa-TenEyck Of Ossining

Jill Veronica Cesa-TenEyck – An Ossining native and returnee, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021. Jill was born in Ossining on November 17, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Gilio and Filomena (Camp) Cesa. She was 74.

Jill was a graduate of Ossining High School class of 1964. Jill was a former Florist and enjoyed many diverse professional endeavors. These included working in sales in New York City and being the owner/operator of “Something Special Gift Shop” in Elmsford. She then went to work for Metro North Railroad and was a manager in the Track and Structures Division in Croton Harmon.
Jill was a lifelong lover of animals. She especially loved dogs, and was extremely involved in numerous animal causes, such as the SPCA in Briarcliff, the Humane Society and the Nature Conservancy.

Jill Veronica is survived by her loving husband Robert; her siblings Dennis (Katherine) Cesa and Pamela (Rich) Borsellino; her nieces/nephews Michele Carey, Nick Borsellino, Chrissy Borsellino, Gianna Cesa, and Arianna Cesa; her step-children Lorna TenEyck and Cathy (Calvert) Schlick; Step grandchildren Corinne (John) Kern, Kerrin Klein; Step great-grandchildren Reid and Connor Klein and Mia and Luke Kern.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 3-7PM at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00AM at St. Ann’s Church in Ossining. The Interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the SPCA of Westchester, 590 North State Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510 or to your favorite animal rescue organization.
